In 1984, ProMotion entered the Windsurfing market full force by opening a factory and showroom in Hood River, Oregon. The "Gorge" has proven to be an unbeatable location to design and test windsurfing wetsuits.
Windsurfers spend more time above the water and exposed to the evaporative cooling effect of wind than surfers. For this reason, we use an exterior material on the outside of our windsurfing wetsuits called ADV WindSkin that allows the wind to efficiently shed water that would normally cool the outside of the wetsuit. Other advantages to our windsurfing line are oversized forearms to eliminate wetsuit squeeze, easy entry/exit back zips that include a zipper dam, and removable leg cinches.
