True windsport specific wetsuits have always had a higher percentage of rubber on the exterior than wetsuits used for sports such as surfing or diving. Having more rubber on the exterior helps a wetsuit wick water quickly to combat possible evaporative cooling on the exterior, thus making for a warmer wetsuit when windsurfing or kiteboarding. The trend has been in materials that have greater stretch and a softer feel. Unfortunately, what the new materials have offered in performance and comfort, they lacked in durability, until now. Our new ADV WindSkin material is the result of combining a durable rubberized skin exterior with super stretch rubber. Problem solved.
