For Triathletes and Open Water Swimmers...

The first triathlon wetsuit with adjustable buoyancy -
For 20+ years now, we have been making "swim specific" wetsuits. The evolution continues with our After Burner model, designed for swimmers with a solid technique. We kept the hips and thighs 5mm in thickness, while reducing the lower legs to 3mm in thickness to allow for a strong kick. For swimmers still working to improve on technique, the After Burner has the added feature of having “Adjustable Buoyancy”. This is achieved using optional inserts of varied thickness (included), that fit pockets located inside the wetsuit, one on each front thigh. Adding the inserts adds more buoyancy (similar to training with a pool buoy). The exterior of the After Burner is laminated with our GlideSkin. This is a tougher exterior that better resists abrasion and finger tears. GlideSkin has the added benefit of quicker removal for fast transitions.

For the Windsurfers and Kite Boarders...

A windsport wetsuit material breakthrough -
The biggest change in our windsport wetsuits comes in the form of material improvements. True windsport specific wetsuits have always had a higher percentage of rubber on the exterior than wetsuits used for sports such as surfing or diving. Having more rubber on the exterior helps a wetsuit wick water quickly to combat possible evaporative cooling on the exterior, thus making for a warmer wetsuit when windsurfing or kiteboarding. The trend has been in materials that are softer and stretchier. Unfortunately, what the new materials offer in performance and comfort, they lacked in durability, until now. Our new ADV WindSkin material is the result of combining a durable rubber exterior with super stretch. Problem solved.

The Exo Beanie
This snowboard inspired water sports hat is made of our new "ExoSkin" material. Fleece on the inside and a rubberized coating on the outside keeps your head toasty warm.

Lycra and PolyPro Skins(new)
To add to our offerings of "what to wear under your wetsuit", we have added a number of Lycra and PolyPro pieces. Both go great under wetsuits and work equally well as sun protection.

New Hood River Store
Having our Company Store, Warehouse, and Design Department under the same roof, has really helped improved our efficiency. The new facility may have lost a little of the "surf shop funk" we used to have, but we’re guessing customers who finally get to try on wetsuits in climate controlled comfort won’t mind. With the new digs, we have expanded our offerings adding Patagonia Sportswear (available in our Company Store only).

Stop by the new shop and say "hello".
